The proposed community band festival in Baldwinsville this year 2012 had to be cancelled.
The Fulton Community Band hosted another community band festival on August 20, 2011. It held at the War Momorial on Route 3 west of Fulton.
The Phoenix (NY) Community Band hosted a community band festival held in Phoenix, NY on Saturday, August 7, 2010.
The Lake George Community Band Festival was held again on July 13-14 2012.
Was held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Ithaca (11:00am - 5:00pm). Contact ekibelsbeck@ithaca.edu (or POBox 426: Ithaca, NY 13062). Very enjoyable time. Recommended if they repeat in 2011.
Other notes...
The Great American Brass Band Festival is held annually in June in Danville, Kentucky; it begun in 1990. The open-air festival features a wide variety of brass bands, a hot air balloon race, a picnic, and other activities. Each year up to 40,000 people travel to the small town (population 15,000) for the event.
